Christmas Pickle, 2020

Christmas Pickle is part of Menažerija’s Christmas Art collection.
The tradition of the Christmas pickle decoration is said to come from Germany, where it is hidden on the Christmas tree amid other decorations. The child who finds it first receives an additional gift that year.
Menažerija’s adaptation of the pickle-shaped decoration is a Christmas pop curiosity, which places the whole idea of the pickle as a Christmas decoration (probably most unusual and exotic to us) under a glass bell jar so that the mysterious specimen can be observed more closely.
Measurements: height 20 cm x width 10 cm x depth 10 cm.
The mediums are wood, glass, brass, PLA plastic, synthetic resin and engraved brass plate.
Edition of 6.
The work Christmas Pickle was made in collaboration with the International Centre of Graphic Arts.

Nose Fondler, 2020

Nose Fondler is part of Menažerija’s Curiosities collection and a prototype of a trendy accessory for the thorough and efficient fondling of your nose. It is a conditionally useful work of art that allows you to pick your nose in a much more prestigious and regal manner.
*COVID-19 warning*
Nose Fondler was created as a prototype before the COVID-19 pandemic and was already at that time intended as a fun curiosity and not as a real nose fondler.
In accordance with the above, I most definitely and absolutely dissuade you from using it to discover its nasal fondling functions at this time.

Measurements: height 20 cm x width 5,7 cm x depth 5,7 cm.
The mediums are acrylic paint on wood, rubber hand, engraved brass plate.
Edition of 6.

Yellow Snow, 2020

Yellow Snow is a painting that is part of Menažerija’s Christmas Art collection. Since we all know what yellow snow is, I probably don’t need to go into detail about it. All I can say is that the starting point for this work was the moment of every winter when you look out of the window and see the snow falling for the first time, and it’s just such a magical and special moment – until you venture into this winter idyll and find that the beautiful white blanket of snow has already been desecrated in some places and has become … yellow snow. The work is a humorous reminder that things are always different when we observe them from a distance than when we see them up close. And romanticising always happens from a distance.

Measurements: height 71 cm x width 101 cm x depth 3 cm.
The medium is acrylic paint on canvas. Framed in a yellow-painted wood frame.
